Greetings! I'm Roselyn Young, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 25 years of experience in guiding individuals, couples, children, and adolescents towards emotional wellness. My journey in this field has been driven by a deep commitment to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling, balanced lives.
In my practice, you can expect a client-centered focus, where empathy and compassion form the cornerstone of every session. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals and families to explore their unique paths to healing and growth.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults and older adults. My experience has equipped me to address a wide range of challenges, from stress management to relationship issues and life transitions.
Through my extensive experience, I offer valuable insights on a range of topics, including school-related challenges and working with children diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and ODD. I have successfully facilitated empowerment groups for both boys and girls, separately. Additionally, I have introduced mindful meditation techniques to aid those struggling with depression and anxiety.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I find joy in various activities including spending cherished moments with my family. I also have a passion for traveling, playing tennis, ballroom and Latin dancing. Lastly, I find solace in the serene beauty of beach strolls and shell collecting. This personal connection allows me to understand and relate to my clients on a deeper level, establishing a foundation of trust and mutual understanding.
